The New Day were defeated by Roman Reigns and The Bloodline to bring WWE SmackDown to a close on a high note.
As the tag team champions joined their cousin to make an example of King Xavier Woods and Sir Kofi Kingston, the Universal Champion stood strong beside Jimmy and Jey Usos.
Reigns came out to the ring with Jimmy, Jey, and Paul Heyman to announce that he had taken last week off to celebrate his victory over Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel.
Following his demand for the audience’s appreciation, he used last week as an illustration of his magnificence, alleging that everyone had a difficult week because he wasn’t there.
He notably mentioned The Usos’ loss to The New Day in the main event, and implored Jimmy – who had taken the fall the week before – to make apologies, prompting Xavier and Kofi to interrupt.
They made fun of the Head of the Table and the Island of Relevancy, posing a challenge in which if Jimmy lost, The Bloodline would bend the knee, and if Woods lost, he would acknowledge the Tribal Chief.
The main event, which was a terrific way to cap the night, saw Woods and Jimmy put up a tremendous battle, with the former coming out on top with a roll-up victory.
The Usos were about to kneel before the monarch when Reigns hit Xavier with a Superman Punch, resulting in a brutal three-on-two brawl.
As the event drew to a close, the Bloodline stood strong, and this may be a perfect build up to Reigns and Big E at Survivor Series.
Shotzi calls out Sasha Banks, Sami Zayn attempts to join Hit Row, Drew McIntyre defeats Ricochet, and Sami Zayn tries to join Hit Row.
Naomi, who battled Shayna Baszler in a rematch from last week, was once again antagonized by Sonya Deville.
She seemed to be fired up as she fought her way out of the Karifuda Clutch and rolled up the Queen of Spades – but everything was not as it seemed.
Deville pointed to Naomi grasping the rope and claimed there should have been a break, causing the bout to be restarted, resulting in Baszler immediately locking in the submission win.

Backstage, Shotzi discussed her missed championship opportunities, the loss of her tag team partner Tegan Nox, the fans, and her defeat to Charlotte Flair, which she blamed on Sasha Banks.
She threatened to run over everyone who stood in her way, claiming she didn’t need her trusty tank.
Cesaro and Mansoor then faced Los Lotharios, a freshly formed team consisting of real-life cousins Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo.

Of course, the Swiss Superman deserves more than to be an afterthought, but this is a fantastic tag team match, and the heels deserve to win after Cesaro and Mansoor’s misunderstanding.
Drew McIntyre kept the momentum going with another open challenge, which Ricochet gladly accepted as the two stars put on a display.
The One and Only put on a show, but in the end, he triumphed with an amazing final sequence that included a Claymore mid-moonsault.

Backstage, Mustafa Ali emphasized their shared interests, but Ricochet declined the offer, citing the disintegration of his cooperation with Mansoor as an example.
The two had a tremendous Main Event feud, so seeing it on a larger platform on SmackDown would be a pleasant addition.
The Viking Raiders made an appearance on Happy Talk with Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss, where Erik and Ivar had their say, which led to a bout with the cheerful combo.
News from the United States of America
Even with a sad finale in which Corbin and Moss lost by Count Out when a pinfall would have meant a lot more, it was a lot of fun.
We also witnessed some tension between Hit Row – which was missing B-Fab following her surprise release this week – and Sami Zayn, who taught the three how to make an entrance.
Before turning on him with a verbal slam, Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, Top Dollah, and Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis hinted a union.
*WWE SmackDown airs on BT Sport 1 at 1am on Friday evenings.
